I try to stick to natural remedies if possible. Sometimes that doesn't work out but here's one that's great for the common cold. At the very least it will help you sleep well. Before you take a nap* or pass out at night, drink a large cup of hot chamomile tea with some fresh lemon juice, a shot of Stroh, and enough honey to make it tasty. That's a lot of honey for me. This brew is strong (um, yeah, it's 80 proof) and it works. I have no idea why. Maybe you sweat it out while the rum kills off the germs. Got it from my Austrian father-in-law. Best. Remedy. Ever.
*any excuse to day-drink, right?
